San Francisco Police shoot & kill 19 yr old

Warning: the video is graphic.

Yesterday, at 4:45 p.m., SFPD shot a teenager who fled during a fair inspection on a Muni light rail car. The cops claimed that he was armed and had fired shots at them first. After the suspect was shot in the back, no gun was found. Doesn’t this sound awfully familiar?

Seriously though, you shot a 19 yr old over a $2 fair? And he later died in the hospital, all because he didn’t pay a $2 fair & you assumed he had a gun. Back up arrived before an ambulance did. No back up was needed. There were already other cops on the scene, some even carrying assault rifles.  The man was on the ground fighting for his life. That moment in the video where he struggles to even attempt to get up is some of the most chilling video I’ve seen. Ever.

It’s okay though right? America will probably ignore this & move on to some more mindless crap,  as is usually the case. I’ve seen it before with the Oscar grant case, Sean Bell, James Brissette, and countless others. When will this country’s collective conscious wake up?

i’m tired of shit like this happening

smfh what the fuck ever happened to shoot to injure not shoot to kill !

I’m so sickened by this. We’re losing our black man for what? For the color of their skin? Such bullshit. And he was only fucking 19 and had his whole life ahead of him. I hope you rest in peace dear

This makes me so mad and WHY DOESNT THIS HAVE MILLIONS OF NOTES. this is more then just what we see on the news it’s reality for the black community.

WHAT THE FUCK? THEY JUST LET HIM LAY THERE AND DIE WITH GUNS STILL POINTED ON HIM? Bruh, my heart can’t take this shit anymore. I’m so serious. I need a break.

They want war.

what do you think about lana and even pop-stars like her in general cause i don't think it's the first time she's done stuff like this like evn in her music she romanticizes fucking everything that can cause trouble with people

I personally think her music is very boring. For me romanticizing shit like depression, death and suicide is extremely unhealthy and as someone who has suffered severely from depression I think it’s offensive bullshit. Any feelings of sadness or emotion that is displayed in her music feels forced and inauthentic as a result. Also so many of her songs involve female characters who are completely consumed by the love provided by a man and in turn do anything for them. I am so sick of this “stand by your man at all costs” image. I feel like that has been something that has consistently been presented and it is a dangerous image because it rids women of personal agency. I am sick and tired of hearing these woeful songs about being completely devoted and obedient to your man. In a society that already establishes conditioned roles and restrictions for women, I think it is very important to play to individual female strengths, not just those that arise conjoined to a man’s love/existence. In a society that proven to be unsafe for women, this “I can’t live without you” attitude proves to be not only obsessive but poisonous. I worry for all the girls listening to that shit because I don’t want any of them to view their life goal as something that comes attached to a man. Also that whole “I’m like Lolita from the Hood” shit is fucking ridiculous and gross. What the fuck does Lana know about the hood? At the end of the day Lana del Rey is a rich, white woman swimming in a mass pool of privileges and profiting off romanticizing songs about depression, suicide, death and obsessive relationships where women cannot exist without their supposed male counterparts and that’s why I don’t fucking like her and I doubt I ever will.

Loneliness does not come from having no people around, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views others find inadmissible.

Yes.

Exactly. I've gotten to the point in my life where I just I can't. I know what Iggy looks like and I have seen her tweets but I refuse to let myself hear a song. I don't even want to do that to my ears. I also cannot stand how make up brands like Lime Crime are actually backing her and I do not want her to spill out into the mainstream more than she already is. Why can't people see just how toxic this is. It's just mind boggling.

yo iggy azealea is just another a ploy to make hip hop more palatable for white people and to shut black people out of yet another art form they created.

remember when some rappers were talking about police brutality and politics and the drug epidemic in their neighborhoods in the 80-90s and white people were so uncomfortable and distressed about the political aspect of it but then loved the hell out of cotton candy rapper vanilla ice????? but now they complain about how “empty” and “materialistic” rappers are today so that they can push macklemore because he’s the “conscious” rapper hip hop needs????

in fifty years little kids are gonna be sitting in history class and learning about the “true birth and golden age hip hop” and all that’s gonna be in the textbook are macklemore and iggy azalea with a group of black women as accessories/back-up dancers

shit makes me sick

Did you know that you can make houses out of plastic bottles? By filling them with sand, and molding them together with mud or cement, the walls created are actually bullet proof, fire proof, and will maintain an comfortable indoor temperature of 64 degrees in the summer time.

And it’s not like there is any shortage on used plastic bottles out there. Here are some statistics from treehugger.com:

“The United States uses 129.6 Million plastic bottles per day which is 47.3 Billion plastic bottles per year. About 80% of those plastic bottles end up in a landfill!”

To build a two bedroom, 1200 square foot home, it takes about 14,000 bottles.

The United States throws away enough plastic bottles to build 9257 of these 2 bedroom houses per day! That’s just over 3.35 million homes, the same number of homeless people in America.

Many people in third world countries have taken up building homes out of plastic bottles, from Africa to Asia. Perhaps the trend will catch on in America and all of those bottles will stop ending up in the landfills. Wouldn’t they be better off housing the homeless? Kinda like all those empty houses scattered all over the country?

Perfect

and the homeless tryna cash in for food. at least build a house first then cash those other bottles in

im waiting for someone in north america to start a collection for 2L pop bottles and ship them to 3rd world countries… it’s coming, i knows it

Yup.
